Did you know that I do web design? You didn’t? Well, I do! I have been doing web design since 1998.
A Little History
I started out with page editors and builders– Homestead, Geocities, and Angelfire– then went on to my own domain and learned HTML. In 2005, I began designing my own graphics and learning xhtml and php. Today, I do all my own blog designing and editing (WordPress) and have recently learned the ropes of Blogger!
I have debated the possibility of offering blog design for a while now– at least a couple of years actually. But I’ve always held back because of the fear that doing so would taint my love of blog building. I was afraid it would become more of a job than a hobby, as has happened to so many other designers and bloggers.
But, that has all changed now. Why? Because I have seen so many mom bloggers out there who want custom blog design but don’t have the finances for it. This crazy economy effected us, personally, in a not-so-good way. I know many of you have already heard this story so I won’t go into details about it now, but will say this– I understand what it is like to not have the funds for something.
God has blessed me beyond my wildest dreams, even in the times we’re so broke we can’t “afford to pay attention.” I want to pay it forward, so to speak, so…
I am offering my services, to you the mom blogger, at no charge. Donations are accepted and greatly appreciated! I have listed the value of each service along with that service in the event you feel led to make a donation. You can view my terms (located at the bottom of this page) to find out where design donations will be used. (I do require a minimum donation if you want a design made with scrapbooking or image packages. Unfortunately, I can’t afford to buy these things myself. All you have to do is either pick it out yourself or give me a description of what you’re looking for. The required donation only needs to be for the exact amount of those images.)
Here is what I’m offering:
Custom Blog Design (Blogger)
All custom blogger design includes installation. (This would require access to your Blogger dashboard/design elements. I realize this means access to your Blogger password, and the only thing I can give you as reassurance is: I am an honest person and would never ever use your access for anything other than the purpose of installing your custom design. I suggest changing your password for the purposes of design installation, then changing it back once the process is complete. I only ask for access to ensure that the design is properly set up and functioning. It’s my reputation on the line!)
Custom Header Design (a $25 value)
- includes design, installation, and template editing (layout size and colors).

- does not include any digital scrap-booking or image packages (you must purchase these)
- includes up to four design edits (I want you to be happy with your design!)
Custom Background Design (a $25 value)
- includes design, installation, and template editing (design colors)

Custom Blog Makeover (a $100 value)
- includes 2 or 3 column designs; header, background and matching blog button; installation and template editing (layout size, design colors, etc)

Currently, I only do design for self-hosted WordPress blogs. (wordpress.com blog design coming soon!) All custom WordPress designs are delivered in a zipped file ready for installation.

Terms and Policy
I only accept donations via PayPal in US funds. (at this time)
All donations will be used for a monthly sponsorship through Compassion International. (My dream is to sponsor a child, but I currently can’t afford to do so on my own.) Any amount in excess of the monthly sponsorship rate will be donated to World Vision.
All design work is based on a first come, first serve basis. I believe that communication is essential, therefore I will be in constant contact with you via email and welcome you to contact me at any time.
I am offering free design (or by donation) for personal blogs only. Commercial and/or business blogs will be required to pay. Contact me for a commercial quote.
Blog design for non-profit organizations is also available for free. Your organization must be a registered 501(c)(3) organization to qualify.
I reserve the right to refuse any design service that I deem offensive to my personal beliefs, that is not family friendly, or that I feel I can not personally complete.
