Total Nothingness

Happy new year…

I know, it’s February.. but since this my first blog post of 2012, I thought the post title was fitting! :P

So what’s new? Nothing. Do you have anything new to share? Okay so there are a few new things. I’m working again- and enjoying being out of the house way more than I thought I would. I enjoy this line of work, always has. What’s it I’m doing you ask? Income taxes. And yes you read correctly… I enjoy it. Right now I’m studying and prepping for IRS’s EA Exam (Enrolled Agent). Don’t ask me why because I don’t yet have a clue. The only thing I do know, for sure, is corporate taxes make me want to pull my hair out of my head and run for the hills. HAHA Not really, but you got a good visual didn’t ya?

My divorce will be final next month. Yes divorce. When the one you’re married to finds the grass greener in someone else’s pasture and consistently lies about it and tells YOU that YOU are crazy for being suspicious… yeah, that’s a good indicator that it’s time to move on. And yes I am crazy, but I was right! The past couple months have been…difficult and trying, but I’m hanging in there thanks to some incredibly wonderful friends and my awesome Mom. Life goes on, and this life is definitely going on.

I have picked up a new hobby, well sort-of hobby that is. I’m an apprenticing tattoo artist– something I’ve always wanted to do but never had anyone I trusted to apprentice me. Well, now I do!! Still have a long way to go but it sure is fun getting there!

And since I’m at work and technically not supposed to be on the net… I must get off and do some real work. You know, the kind that pays the bills…bahahahahaha.

Later peeps….

I’m going to warm my icy toes…

I’ve been kinda quiet on the blogging front lately.  It’s a busy time of the year, with holidays and kids and all the things we have going on at church.  We’re getting ready for the Christmas cantata and practicing pretty regularly; and when we’re not a cantata practice, we’re at the children’s program practice.  Those are fewer, but on Friday nights.  Our weekends are full-up with things right now.  Weekdays… well those are pretty busy too.

In all the busyness, I did remember to order our Christmas cards from Shutterfly.  I can. not. wait. for them to come in.  This is my first time ordering from Shutterfly so I’m hopeful they’ll turn out exactly the way they looked on the site.  (I feel very sure they will.)  This year, we also ordered individual cards for Nay and his girlfriend.  We made theirs from one of the photos I took at Thanksgiving, and the card she picked was perfect with the black and white photo.  I can’t wait to see those too!  According to the estimate, they should all be in sometime next week.  That’s faster than I expected!

So, I may not be around much the rest of the week… or the rest of the month for that matter.  I’ve been having gall bladder issues (again) since yesterday morning on top of a headache that doesn’t want to end.  Needless to say, I haven’t been in the mood to do much of anything, especially write anything meaningful.  (Can’t you tell by the mumbo jumbo in this post?! lol)

Ok, well… I suppose that’s about it.  I’m drawing a complete blank so this will have to be it.  Plus, hubs is about to head off to dream land and my heavy eyelids are telling me I should too.

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful Monday, and stay toasty warm.  It’s cold here, really really cold.  But I do enjoy warming my icy feet on the hubster!  What?  You know you do it too!

P.S.  I’m too lazy to proofread so be kind and ignore the mistakes.  Or correct them in your mind, or the comments.  Either way.  It’s all good.  ‘Night night… that’s all folks.

Ever have a day like this?

I sure have!!! (For the record, I don’t watch Family Guy… just.don’t.like.it. But, my teenagers think this is hillllarrrious.) They also think it’s hilarious to mess with Mama. On an hourly basis. Every day. Of the week. Without rest. They’re so funny! And mean. And I love every minute of it! :D

Q&A for Getting to Know You hop…
1. If you accidently knick a car in a parking lot..Do you leave a note or do you get the heck out of there? Oooh, I think I’d have to leave a note so to apologize
2. Love your body or plastic surgery? I don’t love my body, but no way I’d do plastic surgery
3. What about your favorite blog(s) continues to drive you back? the content… I love a blogger that shares her (his) lift… not too crazy about the blogs that are mostly giveaway/reviews. I like to read about bloggers!
4. What percent of your blog is BS just to make your life seem more interesting than it really is? None of it. Sadly, I’m brutally and totally honest here… just read my 30 DOT series and you’ll see what I mean.
5. If you had to give up one type of meat for the rest of your life, what would it be? Beef. I can live without beef. But not chicken. I love chicken!
6. How often to you eat out? maybe twice a month
7. Skinny jeans or boot cut jeans? boot cut jeans… gotta make this rear end look a little smaller…lol
8. If you caught your spouse cheating would you forgive, divorce, or plan your kill? Honestly, I’d probably plan my kill first… then I’d threaten divorce… then eventually I’d forgive… because I love him so much and I know that he is only human and could easily give in to temptation.

Ok, so these are the hops… if you’ve not joined one, then go ahead and clickie-click!  Go ahead…you know you want to!

The post with no name, I mean title, I mean…oh who knows what I mean?

Today has been one of ‘those’ days.  It has been too hot to be outside… 103F with heat index of 115F+ in the shade.  It was actually pretty miserable inside from about 11am till around 4 pm… the air conditioner was frantically fighting to keep us cool, but it ended up being around 80F in the house.  Gotta love the dog days of summer.  So anyway, since today has been one of those days, and I really haven’t had much to say.. because, well, I’ve been lazy, and hot, and lazy, and I took a nap because it was too hot to do anything else, and the nap felt great but I woke up all sweaty and that was pretty gross, but still… lazy.  So, in honor of my laziness, I’m going to share this…

image001

Why you ask?  Because it’s so cute.  And because someone sent it to me.  And because… YOU MAKE ME SMILE!

(even though you never comment, but still… you leave footprints even if you don’t mean to, so I know you’ve been here, and that alone makes me smile.  :) )

((but, you know, comments are totally fabulous, and I’m all about the fabulousness of fabulousness.  And since you’re so fabulous, you might as well go ahead and comment about your totes fabulousness :D ))

(((because really, you wouldn’t want me to go all crying in a corner or anything would you?  You wouldn’t, right?  Right?)))

((((I really wouldn’t go all crying in a corner, but your comments really are fabulous, so why not leave one?  ;) ))))

(((((Ok OK, I’ll stop  using the (()) now! hehe)))))
