Day Book

Daybook #4

FOR TODAY

Outside my window… there is snow on the ground, and snow falling from the sky. (It’s 9:25 pm, on a Wednesday, and I am very much behind on my blogging thanks to two weeks of internet troubles.) But the snow makes everything better, right?

I am thinking… it’s really cold outside, and the kids have another snow day to makeup which is going to mean either school on a Saturday or one of their Spring break days.

I am thankful for… my family, the roof over my head, the heat keeping me warm, the food we eat, and the Grace of God.

From the kitchen… ah, well, we had spaghetti tonight. I cooked it, and Hubs made garlic bread. Yum!

I am wearing… (not a t-shirt!) my favorite pink shirt, a pair of shorts (it was hot in here earlier) and socks.

I am creating… nothing at the moment.

I am going… to bed soon; I’m tiiiired.

I am reading… nothing currently, although I have two really good books to read and two to actually finish.

I am hoping… the pink box will be here tomorrow!!

I am hearing… Tom Cruise in a movie on the tv and since I’m not really a Tom Cruise fan, I’m not watching the movie.

Around the house… the pups are cuddled on the couch next to me sleeping; Lil Man is next to them and his daddy next to him; Priss went to bed about half an hour ago, and the boys are watching tv. It’s pretty quiet as this time of the night can sometimes get!

One of my favorite things… the hand drawn pictures on the fridge.

A few plans for the rest of the week: don’t really have much in the way of plans for the rest of this week. Tomorrow is a snow day so we’ll be hanging out around the house most of the day; and I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed that that lovely pink box arrives soon!! When it does, I’ll be busy loving my stuff and doing a lot of reading and planning.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing… hehe

Daybook #3

FOR TODAY

Outside my window… it’s cloudy and gray. We are awaiting some not-so-nice weather that is supposed to be moving into the area tomorrow.

I am thinking… I’m glad my internet is working, even though it still isn’t back to normal and frequently ‘times out’ while loading a site/page.

I am thankful for… my family, all of my family including my church family.

From the kitchen… comes the sound of Nay running water and cleaning his lunch mess.

I am wearing… t-shirt (wow, such a shocker!) and… wait for it… sweat pants. No shorts today, it’s too chilly out. hehe

I am creating… a really long to-do list of to-do lists. Wait, I’m always creating a to-do list, right?

I am going… to see Rascal Flatts in concert with a really good friend of mine on Saturday, for my friend’s birthday! It’s going to be awesome!

I am reading… oy… I am -still- reading Radical by David Platt… although I haven’t actually opened it in a couple weeks. *oh the shame*

I am hoping… that the house will sell very quickly and we’ll be moved by the spring!

I am hearing… Nay and Red talking about the pups.

Around the house… there’s not much to say… I have more laundry to wash/dry, need to vacuum and mop, and my favorite of all… clean toilets. Oh joy!

One of my favorite things… my little pup Duke. He is soooo sweet!

A few plans for the rest of the week: mark off more of the things on my to-do list. Get ready for the concert Saturday and get the kids ready for Winter Jam on Thursday. Oh, have to get our taxes done this week too. *sigh* And take JoJo for a hearing test… it’s for his job! That’s a good thing! The job, that is. And so far he loves it!

Here is picture for thought I am sharing…

From Heart and Soul Reflections. I love this picture… it’s so peaceful.

Daybook #2

FOR TODAY

Outside my window… the sun is shining, though it is very cold (31°F), and it looks to be a beautiful day!

I am thinking… my to-do list keeps getting longer rather than shorter, and I should really do something about that!

I am thankful for… my family and having another day with them.

From the kitchen… everyone ate cereal for breakfast, a nice little treat since we don’t have it very often! (it is 8:50 in the morning currently)

I am wearing… a gown and house robe… it’s cold and I haven’t bothered to get dressed yet!

I am creating… a to-do list for my to-do list! HA! Not really. I am actually working on, or should be working on, a few custom pixel graphics… it’s on my to-do list!

I am going… insane! What? You haven’t met my kids! haha

I am reading… Radical by David Platt (still) and Amy Inspired by Bethany Pierce (still) and wonder if I will actually finish either of them this year.

I am hoping… Hubby will have a good week at work; this past week was one of the worst in a long time. It has been slowly getting worse and worse since Thanksgiving, and doesn’t look to get any better anytime soon. I have something in the works, job-wise, and pray that it works out.

I am hearing… Lil Man talking to the Hubs about a game they are playing (X-Box 360).

Around the house… the pups are all sleeping (after playing, wide open, in overdrive, for a couple hours), the boys are both ‘sleeping’ but are actually awake, just not up, and Priss is on her computer (as usual! I’ve created a monster in that one… haha)

One of my favorite things… my collection of hand drawn/colored pictures the kids have given me. Those little gems are priceless.

A few plans for the rest of the week: I really don’t have any plans for the week, other than working on that mile long to-do list I have.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing… this is a photo my Mom took in Hawaii that I played with in Photoshop:

Daybook #1

FOR TODAY

Outside my window… there is still snow on the ground, although it is mostly crunchy ice now.

I am thinking… I am glad I went to the doctor today and am on the way to being well again.

I am thankful for… my hubby and children

From the kitchen… the smell of brownies and chocolate chip cookies are overloading the senses. Hubs went on a baking spree tonight and made us a big bowl of goodies for the week!

I am wearing… my Baby Girl tee and night shorts.

I am creating… this post (again, because the first one disappeared. WordPress has been acting weird the past couple days.)

I am going… to curl up under a warm blanket with my Lil Man and Hubs very soon.

I am reading… Radical by David Platt

I am hoping… that Hubs work load will drastically increase in the coming week.

I am hearing… the 10:00 news on the tv and the three oldest boys talking about movies.

Around the house… the youngest two kids, Hubs, and the pups are sleeping.

One of my favorite things… our newest family members.. the two pups (yes I know that is two things, but, well…) Daisy and Duke. Duke is MY pup, mine mine mine!

A few plans for the rest of the week: take my meds as the doc instructed, take Priss to her Discipleship Now youth weekend and help wherever needed, go to church on Sunday and our church-wide Bible study we are starting Sunday night. I’ve been waiting on this for two weeks!!

Here is picture for thought I am sharing… my little pup Duke!

My Little Daybook- 11/02

FOR TODAY

Outside my window… it’s raining and the temperature is falling; the sky is a light gray that reminds me of winter.  (Is it a coincidence that every daybook post I’ve written has been on a rainy day?  Hmmm…. )

I am thinking… about a blog post I’ve been working on for later this week, and one for next week.

I am thankful for… my wonderful husband, amazing kids, loving family, and supportive friends.

From the kitchen… I will be making cornbread muffins later this evening for my Little Man.  He looooves them.  :)

I am wearing… t-shirt, capris, and no shoes (this is the norm!)

I am going… to see my Miss Priss perform in the Wizard of Oz with her performing arts class on Thursday.  She has the lead role of Dorothy.  I’m so proud!

I am reading… Almost Heaven by Chris Fabry

I am hoping… for a nice, easy, quiet week.

I am hearing… the sound of rain hitting the roof.  I love that sound.

Around the house… I’ve had the privilege of spending a quiet eight hours alone (something that rarely happens) so the house is completely quiet; no tv; no radio; only the sound of the rain on the roof and my fingers hitting the keys on the computer.

One of my favorite things… listening to music, especially uplifting praise and worship music that makes my heart soar high above the clouds!  Just have a listen to MercyMe or Casting Crowns or Point of Grace and you’ll know see what I mean!

A few plans for the rest of the week: read, spend quiet time with the Lord every chance I get, enjoy our Wednesday night Bible study at church, take a LOT of pictures at my daughter’s school play, and record my daughter’s school play (if the digicam’s battery will work).
